SARAS representatives attended the World Standard-Setters Conference 2025 in London
Representatives of the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision (SARAS) participated in the World Standard-setters Conference 2025 held in London on September 29–30.
The conference serves as a global platform where national standard-setting bodies / standard-setters discuss international trends and challenges. The event covered topics such as the development of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and effective mechanisms for their implementation, the role of regulators and the professional community in ensuring transparency and accountability, as well as the importance of international cooperation for sustainable financial systems.
SARAS's participation in this conference is of particular importance. On the one hand, the Service is directly involved in discussions that are relevant to Georgia's regulations and ongoing reforms. On the other hand, SARAS shared Georgia's experience regarding the implementation of standards and existing challenges, while also gaining insight into the latest international practices and trends to support their integration into local regulations. This plays a crucial role in strengthening Georgia's position in international professional discussions and enhancing the transparency and investor appeal of the country's financial environment.
The World Standard-setters Conference 2025 is a forum for countries to share experiences, discuss common challenges, and explore solutions that shape the future of financial reporting globally. SARAS continues to actively participate in similar international events, reinforcing the country's positioning and ensuring that national regulations remain aligned with global standards.
