Applications for BARTA 2025 are now open
With a six-year history, BARTA has become an important part of Georgia’s corporate landscape. The objective of the competition is to improve the quality of reporting and transparency among Georgian companies. In light of the recent advancements in sustainability reporting, this award has become even more significant. This year, the competition is announced by the National Bank of Georgia, the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia, the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision (SARAS), and the Accounting Reform’s Stakeholders’ Foundation, with the support of the World Bank and the Business Association of Georgia. The competition has officially started, and applications are being accepted until 30 November 2025.
It should be noted that, as in previous years, the BARTA competition is open to I category enterprises and groups, as well as to all Public Interest Entities.
The winners will be announced in 10 prize categories during the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in February 2026. As in the previous year, BARTA will also name the "Best Debutant Company," a nomination that recognizes and rewards a newcomer that demonstrates high reporting standards in its first year of participation.
Please note that BARTA was established in 2019 under the EU–World Bank joint project on Financial Inclusion and Accountability, following the European Union's corporate reporting reform initiative.
BARTA 2025 is supported by the World Bank's Enhancing Accounting, Auditing, and Sustainability Reporting (EAASURE) Regional Program (EAASURE), implemented by the Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR).
